SELF DEFENCE CLASSES (WOMEN only)
Every Saturday at 9.30am
Over the course of our 6 month self-defence course, we teach you a combination of self-defence techniques combined with complementary strength training, leaving you prepared and in-control, no matter the situation.
Month one
chokes
In the first month, you’ll learn a range of basic chokes and sweeps that are aimed at quickly neutralising your opponent and avoiding the escalation of any attack.
Month two
GRIPS
In month two, you’ll learn important techniques like learning how to break wrist control, and trip assailants.
Month three
footwork & running
In month three, we progress into footwork and running, which combines learning how to hold your stance and weight distribution, with sprints and long distance running, all key to giving you an advantage in any altercation.
Month four
striking
In month four, we introduce striking with both arms and legs, with complementary exercises like hip and shoulder mobility, squats and nordics.
Month five
grappling
In month five, both standing and ground grappling is learnt, which includes learning how to guard and put yourself in advantageous positions.
Month six
grappling (Advanced)
In the final month, month six, we move to advanced grappling, which equips you with the skills to submit and neutralise your attacker.
